The Coldstream Research Campus and the city of Lexington joined hands to mark Earth Day by hosting the annual litter pickup event on April 21st. The initiative took place at Coldstream along the creek starting in the dog park off Pisacano Way.

The event was open to all Coldstream tenants and community members who were willing to lend a hand in the effort to create a cleaner and healthier environment. Coldstream provided all the necessary equipment such as bags, gloves, and pick-up tools for volunteers to collect litter along the creek.

Jim Conner, Coldstream Facilities Operations Director, led the initiative. "This has been an annual event for 10 years," said Conner. "It is an effort to recognize the Earth and do something that helps."

The event was an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and take action toward creating a cleaner and healthier environment.

Coldstream's involvement in this event demonstrated its commitment to sustainable practices and the need to preserve our planet. The litter pickup event was a small step towards creating a more sustainable and cleaner environment.

Overall, the litter pickup event was a great success and a positive step towards achieving a cleaner and healthier environment.

"At the end of the event, I love to go back and enjoy the view of the cleaned-up area," said Conner.
